AdBlue is the additive that DIESEL EURO 6 cars, equipped with SCR selective catalyst, must use.
- Reduces nitrogen oxide (Nox) emissions in diesel engines
- Converts Nox (harmful gases that are the main cause of smog) into water vapor and nitrogen (both harmless to the environment)
- Preserves the correct functioning of the components of the SCR (selective catalytic reduction system) and blocks the accumulation of impurities in the catalyst
The product is mandatory for all Euro 6 diesel cars, starting from 1600cc. If there is no product, the machine will not turn on.
In order not to risk compromising the SCR system, car manufacturers recommend purchasing and using a product that has the name AdBlue and that meets the ISO 22241 standards (ISO-22241-1, ISO-22241-2, ISO-22241 -3), such as AdBlue Rhutten.
